Clifton R. Musser Professor of Law and Economics. Pioneer in law and economics. Studied the impact of anti-discrimination laws in the 1960's. Developed the now standard models of litigation and settlement, and explored (often collaborating with Richard Posner) economic structure of the common law (in particular tort law) and most recently intellectual property.
