Support the American Academy of Arts & Sciences
The Academy welcomes gifts by phone and mail and as bequests, donor-advised funds, securities, and other options. Learn more about ways to give here.
A gift to the Academy is an investment in its excellence, its independence, and its future.
The American Academy of Arts & Sciences is grateful for the support of individuals and organizations whose generosity has upheld our mission to advance the common good through rigorous, interdisciplinary, and independent thought leadership.
Since the Academy’s founding, members have provided contributions to sustain and grow the institution. James Bowdoin, the Academy’s first president, made a gift of 100 pounds and a collection of books from his personal library. Today, the Academy depends on supporters to:
- Develop and advocate for new solutions to the most pressing issues of the time;
- Convene leaders spanning every sector and academic discipline to push the boundaries of new ideas; and
- Disseminate reports and articles that influence policy, teaching and learning, communications, and philanthropy.
