Vincent Price is President of Duke University and the Walter Hines Page Professor of Public Policy and Political Science. He has also served as provost at the University of Pennsylvania, among other administrative roles, and on the faculty of the University of Michigan. Price is a global expert on public opinion, social influence, and political communication. He served as editor-in-chief of Public Opinion Quarterly, the leading journal in its field, and his volume Public Opinion (1992), has been translated into five languages and called an indispensable guide to the historic and intellectual roots of public opinion. His work has been widely cited on such topics as the impact of political polls, the effects of TV news coverage, and the role of online discussion in shaping public knowledge and opinion.
