Professor Thomas E. Hill, Jr. is the Kenan Professor of Philosophy at UNC Chapel Hill. Former to his scholarship at UNC, he worked at UCLA as a full professor. He is a leading Kantian scholar and has studied moral psychology and the moral dimensions of self-respect and has written extensively on ethics and political philosophy. Some of his awards include UNC Mentor Award for Lifetime Achievement and James Wilber Award. He also served as President of American Philosophical Association.
