Research centers on divisors on a complete absolutely normal variety V over a field k, and deformations of complete non--singular polarized varieties over the field of complex numbers. he shows the existence of the Picard variety of V defined over k. He shows that the set of complete non-singular polarized varieties with a fixed Hilbert polynomial P(x) is closed by deformations and that it can be endowed with the structure of an algebraic variety of finite type.
