Suzanne Jackson

In a career spanning more than five decades, artist Suzanne Jackson has been a studio artist, gallery owner, costume designer, poet, dancer, education, set designer, arts administrator, teacher, and more. Involvement in community life and engagement as a social activist have been concomitants to her work as an artist.

Her work has been exhibited in museums and galleries around the world. She has spent time throughout her career teaching students and influencing future generations of artists and culture creators, as well as building and participating in close-knit art communities with peer artists and thinkers.

Jackson has been involved in a number of arts communities, including in Los Angeles, New York, Philadelphia, and Savannah, Georgia.
