Dr. Corwin is president and chief executive officer of New York City’s largest health system and the teaching hospital for Columbia and Cornell. He is responsible for New York-Presbyterian’s finances and fundraising, advocating for academic medicine, collaborating with the medical schools, and cultivating technological and clinical innovation. During the Covid-19 crisis, Dr. Corwin overcame shortages in supplies, space, and staff to enable New York-Presbyterian to treat thousands of patients. Dr. Corwin earned his bachelor’s and medical degrees from Northwestern University, graduating summa cum laude and in the Alpha Omega Alpha honors society. He completed his residency in cardiology and internal medicine at Columbia.
