Stanley Deser was the Ancell Professor of Physics, Emeritus at Brandeis University (1958-present) and a Senior Research Associate at California Institute of Technology. His research involves the study of quantum fields, gravitational theories, and their generalizations. In 1994, Deser, along with Arnowitt and Misner, received the Dannie Heineman Prize for Mathematical Physics. Along with Misner, he won the 2015 Einstein Medal.
