Sijue Wu
Sijue Wu is Robert W. and Lynn H. Browne Professor in the Department of Mathematics at University of Michigan. Trained as a harmonic analyst, Wu later moved into the subject of nonlinear partial differential equations. She has worked on nonlinear PDEs from fluid dynamics, including the Euler equations, the vortex sheets, water waves, and the singularities in surface waves.
Wu’s academic honors include the Ruth Lyttle Satter Prize in mathematics and the Morningside Gold Medal in mathematics. She has held appointments at Northwestern University, University of Iowa, and University of Maryland, College Park. She earned her BS and MS in mathematics from Beijing University and her PhD in mathematics from Yale University.
