Shuicheng Li
Shuicheng Li is a professor of archaeology at Sichuan University. His research focuses on the Neolithic and Bronze Age of China, especially Northwest and Southwest China. He has conducted archaeological projects in nearly 20 provinces of China on topics ranging from salt archaeology, west-east interaction, origins of agriculture, environmental archaeology, and archaeometallurgy.
His books include The Study of Painted Pottery in Banshan and Machang; Cultural Trajectory of Prehistoric Northwest China; Salt Archaeology in China; Excavation and discoveries in Ganguya cemetery, Jiuquan, Gansu; and Origins and Spread of Mace. He was previously a Coordinate Research Scholar at Harvard-Yenching Instutite and holds a Ph.D. in history from Peking University.
