Serena Ng is the Edwin W. Rickert Professor of Economics at Columbia University. She is also affiliated with the Data Science Institute at Columbia and the National Bureau of Economic Research. Her areas of interest are macroeconomics, time series, econometrics, and big data.

She has been at Columbia since 2007. Previously, she was on the faculty at University of Michigan, Johns Hopkins University, Boston College, and University of Montreal.

Ng earned her B.A. at University of Western Ontario and her Ph.D. at Princeton.
