Rosemary G. Feal
Rosemary G. Feal is Executive Director Emerita of the Modern Language Association, which she led from 2002-2017. She was the Mary L. Cornille Visiting Distinguished Professor in the Humanities at Wellesley College in 2017-18 and is Professor Emerita of Spanish at the University at Buffalo, State University of New York. She co-edits the SUNY Series in Latin American and Iberian Thought and Culture and is an associate editor of the Afro-Hispanic Review. She also served as senior consulting editor of the Latin American Literary Review. Her books include Isabel Allende Today; Painting on the Page; Interartistic Approaches to Modern Hispanic Texts; and Novel Lives: The Ficitonal Autobiographies of Guillermo Cabrera Infante and Mario Vargas Llosa. She earned a PhD from the University at Buffalo and a BA from Allegheny College. She also holds a Bachillerato en Letras from the Instituto Belga Guatemalteco. She was a 1997 Fellow at the Humanities Institute at Stony Brook University and a 2011-12 American Council on Education Fellow at the Five Colleges in Massachusetts.
