Ronny Abraham

Ronny Abraham, a justice of the International Court of Justice in The Hague since 2005, became its President in February 2015. While being a professor of public international law at the Institut d'études politiques and the University of Paris, he was sitting in the French judiciary as a judge in the Administrative Courts and a member of the Conseil d'Etat (1978-1998), and served as Director of Legal Affairs at the French Foreign Ministry (1998-2005), and a member of the French delegation to the United Nations General Assembly (1998-2004).  He is an alumnus of the Ecole nationale d'administration (1976-1978).
