research centers on applying economic theory to law. He has made fundamental contributions to torts, contracts, property law, legal process, economic development, and constitutional law. Recently used collective choice theory to recast constitutional jurisprudence in terms of the consequences of Supreme Court Decisions, and he has also used microeconomics to explore the connection between law and social norms.
