Miller is the president and first employee of Olin College of Engineering. In existence since 1997, Olin is already considered one of the most innovative engineering schools in the world. Established to become a national laboratory for STEM education redesign, Olin has been visited by hundreds of leaders in engineering and is considered an educational model~worldwide. An elected fellow of the National Academy of Engineering and the National Academy of Inventors; recipient of the Gordon Prize and the Brock Prize; distinguished alumni awards from Caltech and UC Davis; advisor to Harvard, Stanford, USMA at West Point; consultant to the World bank; Miller has numerous publications in engineering as well as engineering education, civic engagement, and~the new liberal education.
