Renu Khator

Renu Khator is a most accomplished scholar/leader and pursues an unusual agenda for a president, taking a personal interest in any student having problems, keeping in contact, finding time to push them to study and stay in school, while urging students to pursue careers to make a difference. Her ability to inspire others, her contagious passion for doing one’s best no matter what, has resulted in increases in enrollment, and moreover, significant improvements in retention and graduation rates while inspiring the faculty as well as donors to successfully elevating the University of Houston to Tier 1 Research University status.
