Phyllis Bendell is the Editor in Chief at the Academy. She joined the Academy in 1991. As Editor in Chief, Phyllis manages the Publications department and oversees the editorial policies and operations for the journal Dædalus, the Bulletin magazine, and project publications, papers, and reports.
Prior to joining the Academy, Phyllis was a science instructor in the Cambridge, Massachusetts, public schools. She earned a BA in biology from Brandeis University and an Ed.M. from Harvard University.
