Peter Nicholas was Co-Founder and Chair of the Board of Boston Scientific Corporation, a medical device company dedicated to less invasive procedures. Over a career in healthcare, he served on the boards of many healthcare organizations as well as institutions and organizations in the not-for-profit sectors. He served as Chair of the Board of Trustees at his undergraduate institution, Duke University, and as a Member of the Board’s Executive Committee. He was Chairman of the Massachusetts High Tech Council. He was a member of the board of visitors of the Nicholas Institute for Environmental Policy Solutions at Duke University. He was elected a Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences in 1999 and served as a member of its Trust.
