Peter Jacob Rossky

Dean Peter Rossky is the Director of Institute for Theoretical Chemistry and Dean of Wiess School of Natural Sciences at Rice University. He pioneered the theoretical atomistic description of chemical and biomolecular structure, reaction dynamics, and electronic processes in a liquid phase environment. Dean Rossky created new methods in classical and quantum statistical mechanics that elucidate the origin of experimental observations. Prior to his appointment at Rice University, he served as a Professor at Chemistry at University of Texas at Austin. He is a fellow of the American Physical Society and the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
