Percy Barnevik

He is presently chairman of Investor AB, ABB Ltd, AstraZeneca PLC and Sandvik AB. Investor AB is the main owner in 15 public companies with some 750,000 employees and some 350 bill. USD market capitalization. He is also a director of General Motors. He is a member of various international committees, among them the European Roundtable of Industrialists, the Business Council of American CEOs, the Center for Strategic and International Studies, the Council of Foreigns, the Advisory Council for baltic Sea Corporation, vice Chairman of the World Economic Forum Foundation Board, and is chairman of the EU Enlargement Work Group. He is the recipient of numerous awards, among them several honorary doctorates, the Appeal of Conscience Award, the Polish Business Oscar, CEO/Chairman of Europe's most respected company in Financial Times/Price Waterhouse survey four years in a row, European Leadership Award from Stanford University, the World's Best Honored Top Manager from Korea, and the Big Gold medal from the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences.
