Dr. Aubry’s research has focused in fluid dynamics. She pioneered reduced dynamical systems modeling of turbulent/transitional flows using advanced decomposition techniques and nonlinear dynamics. Today, her techniques have been used in academia to investigate most fundamental flows and in industry for rapid flow evaluation to significantly reduce engineering design time. Further, she was a pioneer in the area of microfluidics, focusing on novel, judicious micromixers and manipulators of suspended particles in microchannels. She has been a leader at her institutions and in numerous national/international organizations, spearheading efforts in increasing the participation of women in engineering and introducing innovation in education and research.
