Developed new approaches to dynamic arbitrage-free models of the term structure of interest rates, allowing the use of time-series data on macroeconomic variables. Other contributions to our understanding of housing markets, and more broadly macroeconomics and asset pricing. Served as the Editor of Journal of Political Economy. Recent honors include Guggenheim Fellowship 2016, Elaine Bennett Research Prize (2006), Bernacer Prize for Best European Economist Under the Age of 40 working on Finance or Macroeconomics (2005).
