The Boston Globe, Boston, Massachusetts ~Editor. Editor of The Boston Globe since 2001. Previously held positions at The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, and The Miami Herald. Since appointment at the Globe, the newspaper has received six Pulitzer Prizes, including those for public service, explanatory journalism, national reporting, and criticism. Pulitzer Prize for Public Service was awarded for a Globe Spotlight Team investigation into clergy sex abuse in the Catholic Church. Under his leadership as Executive Editor of The Miami Herald, the newspaper received a Pulitzer Prize for breaking news coverage of the raid to recover Elián González, the Cuban boy at the center of an international custody dispute. Named Editor of the Year by Editor & Publisher magazine and by the National Press Foundation.~
