Marijk C. van der Wende is Distinguished Faculty Professor of Higher Education at Utrecht University’s Faculty of Law, Economics and Governance. She is the editor of A Research Agenda for Global Higher Education (with Jeroen Huisman, 2022), China and Europe on the New Silk Road: Connecting Universities Across Eurasia (with Nian Cai Liu, Simon Marginson, and William C.
