Malcolm J. Perry is a professor in the Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics at the University of Cambridge. His principal interest is in theoretical physics as applied to understanding gravitation through Einstein’s general theory of relativity and through the application of quantum mechanics to gravitation. Most recently, this has involved applying these ideas toward understanding the quantum physics of black holes.
