Leo Lucassen

Leo Lucassen is the Director of the International Institute of Social History in Amsterdam, Professor of Global Labour and Migration History at Leiden University, and an Adjunct Professor of Culture and Learning at the University of Aalborg. He is the author of Migratie als DNA van Amsterdam: 1550–2021 (with Jan Lucassen, 2021) and The Immigrant Threat: The Integration of Old and New Migrants in Western Europe Since 1850 (2005), and editor of Globalising Migration History: The Eurasian Experience (16th–21st centuries) (with Jan Lucassen, 2014) and The Encyclopedia of Migration and Minorities in Europe: From the 17th Century to The Present (with Klaus J. Bade, Pieter C. Emmer, and Jochen Oltmer, 2011).
