Lawrence Irwin Gilbert

I have now been retired from UNC-Chapel Hill for a decade but still review grant application, manuscripts, and am in contact with former members of my lab and labs that I collaborated with. I keep up with my field of Insect Biochemistry and Genetics and give lectures on the new material. I also devote time to Peer Learning, an organization whose clientele is Senior Citizens, and recently finished a seminar on Cancer, but have given courses on Current Events, China, etc. My major occupation these days is remembering the names and birthdates of my six great grandchildren.
