Coauthor of Racial Attitudes in America: Trends and Interpretations (1998) and of Prejudice in Politics: Group Position, Public Opinion, and the Wisconsin Treaty Rights Dispute (2006). He is also co-editor of The Oxford Handbook of African American Citizenship 1865 to the Present (2011); of Racialized Politics: The Debate on Racism in America (2000); of Urban Inequality: Evidence from Four Cities (2001); and of Prismatic Metropolis: Inequality in Los Angeles (2000).
