Research centers on a broad range of topics in particle physics and high energy electron accelerators. His most recent interest is in the origin of the matter/antimatter asymmetry in the universe. To that end he lead the team that designed and built the B Factory facility at SLAC. First results from this facility are expected in early 2001.
