Jeffrey R. Immelt is was the President, CEO and Chairman of the Board of the General Electric Company, appointed in 2001 and retiring in 2017. He previously served as President and Chairman-Elect of General Electric Company in 2000. From 1997 to 2000, was President and CEO of GE Medical Systems, following 15 years in a series of global leadership roles in GE's plastics, appliance and medical businesses. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the New York Federal Reserve Bank; the Robin Hood Foundation, addressing poverty in New York City, and Catalyst, Inc., expanding opportunities for women and business.
