Jane M. Mayer
Jane Mayer has written four highly esteemed non-fiction books, two of which have been finalists for the National Book Award. She has been a staff writer for The New Yorker for more than 20 years, covering a wide range of subjects. Before joining The New Yorker, Mayer worked for more than a decade at The Wall Street Journal (WSJ), covering the media industry and politics. She was the first woman appointed by the WSJ to cover the White House during the Reagan presidency. She is fearless and an expert in national security law and anything to do with political figures or political corruption. Her many honors include the John Chancellor Award for lifetime achievement, the RFK Award for courage in journalism, and the George W. Polk Award for journalism. The New York Times listed her last two books as among the ten best of the year.
