President and Chief Executive Officer. Since 1977, served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Loews Corporation, one of the largest diversified corporations in the United States. Loews has subsidiaries involved in commercial property-casualty insurance, offshore drilling, natural gas exploration and production, and luxury lodging. Also serves as a director of Loews, of and Loews's subsidiary, CNA Financial, and of the General Electric Company. In addition, he is chairman of Loews's subsidiary Diamond Offshore Drilling, Inc. He is chair of WNET, chair of the board of governors of the Jewish Agency for Israel, and is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. He is also on the boards of Mount Sinai Medical Center, the Partnership for New York City, and the New York Public Library. WNET's new studios at Lincoln Center have been named the Tisch WNET Studios after Tisch and his wife.
