American businessman who participated on a number of public, private and not-for-profit boards, including General Electric, Wal-Mart, Chubb, Microsoft, The Boston Celtics, The Smithsonian Museum of African American History and Culture, and the National Association of Basketball Coaches Foundation. He joined the faculty of Harvard Business School in 1976, where he served as chairman of the M.B.A. program from 1992 to 1995, and served as Senior Associate Dean and Chairman of HBS Publishing from 1998 until 2003. Dr. Cash retired from the Harvard Business School faculty in 2003. Under the umbrella of The Cash Catalyst, LLC he runs personal development programs for executives in Global 500 organizations: The Executive and Board Symposium, and The Digital Technology Leadership Forum. His work and research is focused on the strategic use of information technology in the service sector.
