Hisham Aidi

Hisham Aidi is Senior Lecturer in International Relations at Columbia University. He is the author of Rebel Music: Race, Empire and the New Muslim Youth Culture (2014) and Redeploying the State (2008) and editor of Black Routes to Islam (with Manning Marable, 2009). Between 2007 and 2012, he was a contributing editor of Souls: A Critical Journal of Black Culture, Politics and Society. He is currently a contributing editor of the pan-African magazine Souffles Monde.
