Research centers on ancient philosophy from Plato to the Hellenistic period. She has written on ancient Skepticism, Stoic and Epicurean ethics, and Aristotelian logic and ethics. Her translation and commentary on Aristotle's Prior Analytics Book I was published by Clarendon Press, Oxford in 2009.
She retired from Harvard University in 2011 and now lives in Hamburg. Germany.
