Gerhard Loewenberg

Professor Gerhard Loewenberg is a Professor Emeritus, UI Foundation Distinguished Professor at the University of Iowa. Before his appointment at Iowa, he served as an Instructor to Professor of Political Science at Mount Holyoke College. He is a specialist on European legislatures and his research focuses on comparisons among them and between them. He has fostered legislative studies as a cross-national and systematic field of inquiry. He is a coeditor of Legislative Studies Quarterly. He is a recipient of the American Political Science Association’s Frank J. Goodnow Award for Distinguished Service.
