Professor of Physics. Co-leader of an international group that produced the most accurate calculations of fundamental parameters and observable quantities in sub-nuclear physics using computer simulations of the strong interaction (lattice QCD). Developed powerful new theoretical approaches to bound state problems in quantum electrodynamics and chromodynamics. Active in research while Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences.
