Frances Daly Fergusson is the former president of Vassar College (1986-2006) and an architectural historian.  She is the recipient of the Founders' Award of the Society of Architectural Historians, the Centennial Medal of the Harvard Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, the Harvard Medal for Outstanding Service to the University, the Wellesley College Alumnae Achievement Award and the Eleanor Roosevelt Val-Kill Medal.  She has been on the boards of The Ford Foundation, The Mayo Clinic, The School of American Ballet, The Noguchi Trust, and the National Humanities Center.  Currently, she is on the Boards of The Getty, Second Stage Theatre, and The Ringling Museum Foundation.  She is currently the head of the Visiting Committee to the Library at Harvard. In the corporate sphere, she is on the boards of Pfizer and Mattel.  Ms. Fergusson has her undergraduate degree from Wellesley College and her Ph.D. from Harvard.  She holds honorary doctorates from The University of London, the University of Hartford and Bard College.
