Everette E. Dennis

In a career that traversed media, higher education, and international relations, he has been a recognized leader known for advancing the study of communication and  media for public benefit. He is presently leading Northwestern University's Qatar campus, as dean and chief executive officer. The school is educating a regional and international talent pool while advancing freedom of expression that connects western and traditional Arab cultures with emphasis on communication, media and journalism immersed in the liberal arts.  Prior to his position in NU-Q, he served as founding president of the American Academy in Berlin and founding executive director of the Media Studies Center at Columbia University, a hub for institutional leaders and media intellectuals to advance the study mass communication and technological change.
