Integration of psychophysical, behavioral and neuronal mechanisms of color vision in the framework of a geometrical model representing colors by selective corticle color detectors on a hypershere in the four dimensional space. Cartesian coordinates of the model refer to four types of neurons in the lateral geniculate body. Spherical coordinates (three angles of the hypersphere) correspond with subjective aspects of color vision: hue, lightness, and saturation. The model suggests that colors are encoded by oscilatin vectors of a constant length.
