Eugene H. Spafford

Eugene H. Spafford is a pioneer in computer security. He is an acknowledged leader in cybersecurity education, defensive and analytic tool development, policy formulation and analysis. He established laboratories and centers for cybersecurity research and application and served widely as a consultant to industry and the US Government in the area of computer security. His many students have gone on to serve in academia, government and industry as experts in cybersecurity. He has served the profession through numerous leadership positions in the Association for Computer Machinery and the Computing Research Association. He has received many awards from institutions involved in advancing the state of the art of cybersecurity.
