Emily Bazelon is a law-trained journalist of broad scope, with a focus on the cultural and legal controversies currently besetting the U.S. Currently a staff writer at The New York Times Magazine, she writes frequently about reproductive rights, criminal justice, the Supreme Court, and American politics. She is the author of two national bestselling books, Charged and Sticks and Stones, and the co-host of a weekly Slate podcast on current affairs. She is also the Truman Capote Fellow for Creative Writing and Law at Yale Law School, where she teaches a course on writing about law for a general audience.
