Professeur honoraire Collge de France All along a good deal of time was devoted to the development of official statistics. Past research has concerned econometric methodology and a wide range of issues in formalized economic theory, involving in particular time, uncertainty and external effects. Progressively research centered more and more on macroeconomics, notably on the aggregation of economic behavioral laws and on the determinants of unemployment. Present writings tend to focus on the relevance of economic science, as well as on its relations with other social sciences.
