Dieter Henrich

Henrich's historical research centered around Kant and Post-kantian philosophy, with various discoveries, such as the paradigm on which the method of the Critique of Pure Reason is modeled, a generation of Kantians as teachers of f.i. Hegel, Hoelderlins early and independent philosophical system, on Max Weber, on Samuel Beckett. His philosophical treatises were on the problem of understanding Self-consciousness, on the formation of metaphysical concepts, on philosophy in language, on the foundation of Ethics, a philosophy of art and Modern art. He wrote enquiries into Selfhood and Reason, on the Genesis of great philosophies, on the so-called 'Question of Being'.
