David J. Grain
David Grain is the Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Grain Management, LLC, a global investment firm that focuses on broadband infrastructure and technology companies. The company invests exclusively in the global telecommunications sector, especially in infrastructure, including fiber networks, wireless spectrum, and cell towers.
Prior to founding Grain Management in 2007, David Grain led Pinnacle Towers (later renamed Global Signal) from bankruptcy to a successful IPO, transforming it into one of the largest independent wireless communication tower companies in the world. Previously, he worked at AT&T and Morgan Stanley.
Grain is the Lead Independent Director of Southern Company’s Board of Directors, Independent Director of Dell Technologies, Director of New Fortress Energy, Trustee of the Brookings Institution, a member of the Advisory Council of the National Museum of African American History and Culture, and a member of the Board of the Martha’s Vineyard Museum. He is also a Lifetime Member of the Council on Foreign Relations, and a member of Business Executives for National Security.
Grain holds a B.A. in English from the College of the Holy Cross and an M.B.A. from the Amos Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College, where he serves on the Board of Advisors.
