Stroock is now retired, although he continues to dabble in research and do some teaching.  His expertise is in applications of  probability theory to various topics. Some of the topics are purely mathematical: analysis, partial differential equations, and differential geometry. Others are less purely mathematical: physics and, with some reluctance, finance.
