Daniel Roche
Professor Daniel Roche is a Professor at Collège de France. Prior to this position, Roche spent time at the European Institute of Florence, Paris I University, Paris VII University, and Lycée Châlons-sur-Marne. His research focuses on mobility and equestrian culture, as well as the history of Enlightenment culture, material and intellect. His primary field of research is the cultural history of France during the later years of the Ancien Régime. He is the recipient of the Laurain-Portemer Prize and Pegasus Award. He is an Academic Correspondent Foreign Member of the Moral Sciences Class, Philosophical, Pedagogical and Moral Sciences Section of the Bologna Institute, as well as a member of the British Academy and Academia Europea.
