Curtis Lively is a Distinguished Professor in the College of Arts and Sciences’ Department of Biology at Indiana University.
Lively has studied the possible advantages of cross-fertilization and the production of genetically diverse offspring. The Lively Lab also studies topics in evolutionary and behavioral ecology, including, host-parasite coevolution, the evolutionary maintenance of cross-fertilization, the evolution of parasite virulence, the effects of genetic diversity on disease spread, mate choice, and the social behavior of microbes.
