Claire Voisin
Claire Voisin is a senior researcher at Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique. She is recognized for her work in algebraic geometry, especially on Hodge theory and algebraic cycles. She is known particularly for her construction of compact Kähler manifolds not homeomorphic to complex projective manifolds, for her proof of the Green conjecture on syzygies of generic canonical curves, and for her contribution to the stable Lüroth problem.
Voisin received the Heinz Hopf prize in 2015 and the Shaw prize in 2017. She is a member of the Académie des sciences and foreign member of the National Academy of Sciences, the Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei and the Royal Society. She was previously Professor at Collège de France, holding the Chair of Algebraic Geometry.
