Dr.
Christopher D. Lima
Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center
Biochemist; Structural biologist; Educator
Area
Biological Sciences
Specialty
Biochemistry, Biophysics, and Molecular Biology
Elected
2017
Lima’s research revealed unprecedented insights underlying post-translational protein modification by ubiquitin-like proteins through creative isolation of key intermediates in these pathways. His pioneering research in RNA biology resolved molecular bases for co-transcriptional RNA processing, RNA ligation and 3´to 5´ RNA decay activities of the multi-subunit eukaryotic RNA exosome.
